Microsoft Secure Tech Accelerator: Copilot for Security

Kathleen Lavallee, Product Marketing Manager for Microsoft Copilot for Security, and Ryan Munsch, Principal Technical Specialist for Copilot, explore how organizations can customize Copilot for Security for their cybersecurity workflows. They recap lessons from the product’s preview and early-access period, then demonstrate custom promptbooks, organizational knowledge bases, and custom plug-ins for Microsoft and third-party security tools. The session also examines Microsoft Defender Threat Intelligence, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Purview, KQL queries, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and Security Compute Units. An extended Q&A with Yaniv Shasha and Gad Epstein from Microsoft’s Customer Experience Engineering team tackles provisioning, grounding, data privacy, licensing, plug-ins, and other questions that tend to multiply when nobody is watching.

We produced this pre-recorded session for the Microsoft Secure Tech Accelerator, shaping the show, designing its graphics package, preparing the presenters, recording and editing the footage, and streaming it as part of the live event across multiple social channels. The result combines the precision of a carefully polished program with the energy of a live broadcast—clear demos, confident experts, sharp visuals, and none of the frantic button-pushing usually performed by a producer whose headset has developed opinions.
