Loo + Pixel meet cute

Loo is a video editor with a steady life, great snacks, and a timeline that knows better than to argue with her. Pixel lives in the glowing world behind the screen, where keyframes have opinions and the sparkles never stop showing off. Both are content. Both feel one tiny space that hasn’t quite filled in. Then, on one fateful night, a gap between two clips refuses to stay closed—and waves. What follows is a story about friendship, party hats, and the kind of magic that still gets notes. It’s also a portrait of us: the people at the desk, the pixels in the screen, and how much better the work gets when they finally meet.

Loo + Pixel is a self-initiated Honeycutt Inc. production that’s been brewing since the characters’ first animation tests in 2025. Animator Don Dixon developed the origin story, built the storyboards, and cut an animatic against the final narration to lock the timing before a single shot moved. He painted the backgrounds first, letting gradients and color blends set each scene, and kept Loo and Pixel in flat brand colors so they pop against their worlds. Don even started the score by humming a melody over his boards. The result uses the same craft we bring to client explainers—story, design, voice, sound, and motion—aimed at the thing we care about most: proof that human creativity is at its best when it gets to play.
