Resolving Windows Autopatch device not ready status

Microsoft Windows logo

Windows Autopatch flags devices that aren’t ready by running readiness and registration checks, and this video shows exactly where to go when that happens. In Microsoft Endpoint Manager, you open Devices, then Windows Autopatch > Devices, switch to the Not ready tab, and select an affected device to review the specific errors. Each error includes details plus a support link that takes you to step-by-step remediation guidance. Once devices are back in a healthy state, the video points you to the next milestone: setting up your test ring (aka.ms/AutopatchTestring).

We produced this demo to keep the troubleshooting process calm, quick, and repeatable—tight scripting, clean screen capture, and a voiceover that tells viewers what matters before they have time to overthink it. The benefit is simple: less wandering through admin blades, faster fixes, and a clearer path from “not ready” to “ready to patch,” delivered with captions, audio description, and thumbnails for easy reuse.
